NLG

NLG, or Navigazione Libera del Golfo, has operated ferry crossings for more than 80 years and now has a route network covering the islands in the Gulf of Napoli, Tremeti Islands, Pontine Islands and the Amalfi Coast.

Run by the Aponte family, whose origins in the maritime industry date back to the 17th century, NLG has completely modernised its fleet over the years which now features modern and highly efficient water-jet-propelled vessels. At present, the fleet is composed of 10 hydro-propelled jets and 2 DSC Catamarans, with the ship named Picasso acquired in 2007.

A perfect mix of the traditional and modern, the high level of service provided by the on-board staff is a trademark of NLG which of course helps to make them a popular company amongst their passengers. In short, with Navigazione Libera del Golfo, you have the freedom to explore many of Italy’s island treasures with numerous routes and frequent crossings on offer.

Directferries.co.uk provides an impartial ferry comparison service allowing you to view numerous ferry company timetables and fares in one quick and easy search. Compare NLG timetables and prices now with all alternative ferry operators before booking your ferry ticket.

NLG Customer Reviews

  • "Expensive online tickets"

The ship left 30 mins later and if you buy the ticket from the port they are way cheaper. I mean we payed 60£ for round trip ticket and at the port they were like 18 euros.

  • "Perfect "

Passengers need to learn to queue, but the ferry was great. Amazing views, indoor & outdoor seating, a bar onboard. Fun and efficient.

  • "Great Ferry Transport"

Ferry transport is the only way to go in my opinion. It’s efficient, beautiful on the water and relaxing. We enjoyed our trip from Positano to Naples rather than driving on the curvy roads. It’s also very cost-effective. Enjoyed our trip.

  • "Reliable & friendly"

So, it’s a ferry to Capri from Naples and back.  It’s reliable, comfortable and friendly. Only issue we had was a full ferry and they hadn’t opened all the toilets. So a long wait. But staff a very helpful esp if you have luggage.
