Calais Ferry Port

Calais is the closest French town to England and the main port for crossing the Channel, with the largest choice of departure time.

The crossing between Calais and Dover is the shortest sailing between England and France too. Around 4 miles from Calais, in Coquelles, you'll find the Eurotunnel terminal. There is also a direct link to Paris from Calais, by train.

How To Get To Calais Ferry Port

  • Calais Ferry Port by Car

    Calais ferry port is directly connected to the European motorway network by means of two auto routes. The A26/E15 serves the centre of France and provides access to Paris, and Southern Europe. The A16/E40 feeds into the Benelux and Northern Europe motorway system and the A16/E402 to Boulogne and Rouen.

  • Calais Ferry Port by Rail

    On leaving the ferry you’ll find the Calais Ville station situated in the centre of the town which provides a regular service to Paris Gard du Nord as well as other major towns and cities in the area.

    There is a regular foot passenger bus, which operates between the hours of 10am and 8pm, connecting the port to the centre of Calais at Place d’Armes and the train station on request. There is a small (approx £1/€1.50) charge per passenger per direction.
