Lying on the southwest coast of the French principality of New Caledonia, Noumea Port is on the southern peninsula. There are seven ferry routes departing the port to Tadine, We and Kuto Bay supplied by Betico ferry company.
No-one ever plans to visit Tadine, but the small village is the perfect place to while away a few hours whilst waiting to sail to more exotic and exciting locations. Enjoy a refreshing drink at the local café, or browse the local market stalls in pursuit of authentic clothing or bespoke antiques at bargain prices. Only one ATM exists in the village, so it may be worthwhile to bring some excess cash just in case of emergency. The local residents reside in small huts concealed under the draping leaves of the palm trees, leading to the shoreline adorning a sleepy beach, enabling you to take a dip in the crisp water or rejoice under the powerful rays of the Caribbean sun.
