Mega Express ferry has a capacity for up to 1800 passengers and around 550 vehicles. Sister ship to the Mega Express II, the Mega Express is fast during the day, comfortable during the night and offers you all the amenities of a big ship. Onboard you’ll find a selection of cabin accommodation, an a la carte restaurant, cafeteria, pizzeria, spaghetteria, buffet, swimming pool, bar, video games room, shops and more.
There’s around 1200 beds spread across 300 cabins onboard the Mega Express. Cabins are available in configurations of 2, 3 or 4 bed, both inside and outside (sea view) and are all en-suite. There are comfortable seats in the onboard lounge that can be pre-booked.
There is no shortage of places to eat and drink onboard this ferry. Choose from a Mediterranean menu in the a la carte restaurant or for something a bit more relaxed head over to the self-service buffet, the spaghetteria or the café. There’s a wide variety of drinks on offer in the 'Bar Central' where you’ll find comfortable surroundings, a great atmosphere and a sea view. There is also a deck bar where you can enjoy a relaxing drink in the sun by the pool.
In the Mega Express shop you’ll find a choice of popular perfumes, cosmetic products, clothes, sweets and more.
The Mega Express features a specially built play area to keep the younger passengers entertained throughout the trip. There is also a video games room for older children.

"Porto Torres to Toulon 5 November"
I own a travel company and I often travel between France/Sardinia/Italy, and I often use Corsica/Sardinia ferries. This is the worst experience I have had. I am not blaming Corsica/Sardinia ferries for the bad weather and the delay but I am blaming them for our treatment on the boat. No explanation was given for the delay. There were two sitting areas closed and there was not nearly enough seating for the number of passengers booked..
"Very comfortable trip"
Very efficient system. Check-in, lane control and boarding was surprisingly quick and well ahead of sailing time. I love the fact that you are allocated your cabin number at check-in and are told to go straight to the cabin, therefore avoiding long queues at reception. Plenty of seating, several restaurants and bars to choose from, childrens' play area to keep te little ones occupied. I had a basic, inside cabin and it was more than adequate. The bed was really comfortable and the shower excelleht. I had a great night's sleep, refreshed and ready for the days' work ahead. Importantly, all on schedule. The only two things I would suggest could be improved is the quality of the food at the self-service buffet, where you have to line up with your hot foot to pay, which means that by the time you get to your table, it is cold, and tghe quality could be better. The ship was clean, to a degree, but there is room for improvement. On the whole, a very happy customer.

I have cancelled the ferry in advance and have also received email from Corsica Ferris. Unfortunately after so many reminders email a direct ferries is not releasing my refund and not even responding

The ship and facilities were fine. However the sailing time was altered after we booked and this made our journey much harder .

Cars squeezed together for 3 hours before late departure, but once on slightly chaotic key allocation. Queues for food enhanced by limited opening times. Crew and facilities were good otherwise,.

Les deux traversiers utilisés ont un personnel italien qui ne parle pas français - Les repas sont minimalistes - Les animaux ne devraient pas être autorisé sur le bateau ceux-ci font leurs besoins un peu partout sur les tapis des aires communes
"Good but long "
Cabin was good ship was clean enough. Ferry left 2 hours late and arrived 3 hours late. Not a good mode of f transportation if you have time restraints. Many people slept on the floor all around the public areas, many dogs. We were called from our cabin to prepare to disembark 2 hours early. Many people were sitting on the floor waiting then when it was finally time to return to our cars to disembark people with dogs and luggage rushed to the steep stairs, I was concerned for my safety.

Das Schiff kam pünktlich und das Boarding lief problemlos. Auf dem Schiff angekommen, findet man sich nur leider sehr schwer zurecht. Es gibt keine Schilder wo man überhaupt vom Autodeck ins Personendeck kommt und auch niemanden der helfen würde. Was mich aber am meisten gestört hat, war der Sauberkeitszustand des Schiffes. Ich bin vorher immer mit Moby gefahren, daher kenne ich Fähren und weiß, dass diese nicht „sauber“ sind. Aber dieses Schiff war ekelhaft. Vorallem die Toiletten, voller Fäkalien, welche nicht „frisch“ waren und einfach alles völlig verdeckt. Wände fehlten und eröffneten den Blick auf irgendwelche Kabelschächte, die auch voller Müll und Dreck waren. Es gab auch keine Sitzmöglichkeiten auf den Seitendecks. Was auch extrem nervig war, war die permanente laute Beschallung mit schrecklicher klassischer Musik. Nach Ankunft im Hafen halbes noch eine Stunde gedauert, bis man zu den Autos konnte, es gab aber auch hier keinerlei Kommunikation oder Organisation. Wenn man es dann geschafft hatte, bis zu seinem Auto vorzudringen, was nicht für alle möglich war…, konnte man nicht einsteigen und musste nochmal sehr lange dort zwischen den Autos stehen bis die anderen Autos weggefahren sind bevor man seine Türen öffnen konnte. Alles in allem eine wirklich sehr enttäuschende Angelegenheit und das für 111€ (Oneway eine Person).

Very easy, comfortable crossing. Ran exactly to time. Easy loading and unloading even with a 7.4m motorhome. Dog was allowed to be with us the whole time highly recommend

"NIce Bastia Nice Ferry - September 2022"
This text box is not the easiest to fill in! We travelled Nice to Bastia on 3 September and our departure was delayed 1 hour. During the trip we found it impossible to know when the individual snack bars and the Dolce Vita restaurant would open and close. For our 0730 hrs return we decided to book breakfast in the Dolce Vita restaurant. It seemed impossible to contact Corsica Ferries so we emailed Direct Ferries and received a telephone call from them. We asked if we could book breakfast in the Dolce Vita and was told "Yes" so we paid and a new boarding card was issued. On 14 September we could not find where to have our pre-booked breakfast as the Dolce Vita restaurant was closed for most of the trip. On board reception told us we could eat at any of the restaurants but once again found it impossible to know which would open and when. The staff were not helpful.
"Roaming charges scam"
Put your phone on airplane mode otherwise you'll take up in the morning to find the ship has drained all your money overnight. There is no advance warning about this and the notification texts only arrive well after sailing time when the ship leaves the coast. Cabins were pretty manky - there was old sick on one of our blankets and no soap in the bathroom. Staff eventually produced some soap, after half an hour of passing us around to different people.

Efficient on board. Chaos loading and unloading which took much longer than it needed to. Great to be able to have the dogs on board

Départ et arrivée parfaitement à l'heure. Personnel aimable, prévenant et compétent. Vaisseau propre et bien tenu. Les prix à bord sont raisonnables. MAIS la connexion wifi-pack-easy ne fonctionne pas bien du tout. C'est au point que je n'ai pu compter, à l'aller comme au retour, que sur les réseaux cellulaires des côtes quand elles étaient proches.

The service was excellent. We bought our ticket online as we arrived and were boarded straight away. The ship was clean. The food was nice from the self- service outlet. The staff were polite and friendly. We did have a difficulty in the morning as all the toilets had been locked. We were sent from pillar to post until eventually we asked the cleaning crew to use a toilet in a cabin. It was very embarrassing. While understanding the need to ensure the ship is clear there really do need to be clearly signposted toilets available.

"A rip off"
Compared to other ferries this is a rip off. There is little space to sit. WE ate our food on the floor, as many famalies did. There is little space on deck. We were overchrged 400 euro for a biccyle we had already booked. Not recommended, Appalling treatment by staff.

"Something must be changed"
Okay so the trip was not super cool. The interior temperature was really low, it was colder than outside even the night actually that’s ridiculous. People who haven’t take a room to sleep are sleeping in dark rooms or on the floor at all levels, that’s just so inappropriate in terms of human quality/respect. It’s inappropriate because it was cold, in normal conditions it would be okay. The toilets are just awful and the absolute opposite of the world « clean », everything is broken, the smell is awful and there is pee EVERYWHERE, wtf ??. The wifi is disconnecting time to time. The crew only speak Italian and don’t know how to speak english (or french) ! That’s THE basics to know… Otherwise the crew for the breakfast was qualified with THE BASICS things. And finally can you please explain to people how can the half of the toilets, shops, food/drinks distributors are out of service ?? We can’t do anything on the boat it was super boring !…
"Worst experience ever and this company will not refund any money even though there is a clear invoic"
The worst experience ever don’t ever use them. Firstly I am waiting for a refund for the past 3 weeks. I have an invoice saying 270 euros to be refunded and yet after numerous emails the same message saying waiting for operator. I am escalating with my credit card company to retract the money. The ship is appalling and smells. It’s like living like cattle in a cage. No one to help. People sleeping on the floor or on the deck. It’s crappy, wet carpet. No choice of proper food.
"Stressful Experience "
I was appalled by the attitude of the workers at Toulon directing the vehicles on to the ferry. There was aggressive tone in directing drivers into position on deck 1. What I found disturbing was how closely parked the cars were to each others. Passengers were told to get out and subsequently were at a loss as to which direction to head for leading people wandering in front of moving vehicles. Drivers could just about open their doors wide enough to get out of them. Leaving the ferry, once at Alcudia, was so traumatic that I was anxious about the return journey. Some people could only access their vehicles through open car windows! To my horror I had to reverse to gain access off the boat. The aggressive shouting and lack of direction from the vehicle workers led to an altercation. It was a frightening experience, so much so I became extremely anxious about the return crossing. On board the ferry was grubby and the crew not very helpful. Despite the majority of passengers being French and Spanish, most of the crew only spoke Italian! Absolutely bizarre. This one episode put a dampener on my trip. It made me cry it was that horrible.

Unknown to a inexperienced traveler any foot passenger who has not purchased accommodation is left without seating area ! Never been warned! Yes purchase of accommodation for large and costly cabin is possible .
"Porto vecchio to Nice and back"
Brilliant service, on time, friendly and efficient. Food available was fine. Everything on board is a bit expensive but not too bad. Cabins were clean and comfy, shower good. Nice to see the land and sea from outer decks.
"Terrible Experience "
Air conditioning in the cabin was broken, no one would come and look at it, ended up having to site in the dining room as it was too hot to lie in the cabin. Terrible experience.

I was sent an email after midnight which I didn’t read until I was in the queue to board telling me of the three hour delay. This was poor communication and led to failure in getting to my destination on time !
