The Chumphon Koh Tao ferry route connects Thailand with Koh Tao Island. Currently there is just the 1 ferry company operating this ferry service, Songserm. The crossing operates up to 7 times each week with sailing durations from around 2 hours 45 minutes.

There is lots to do while you wait to board the ferry. The town provides a number of places where you can sample spectacular local seafood and the surrounding beaches provide the perfect place to relax and escape the backpacker trail or get stuck into some snorkelling in the crystalline Thai water. It’s not just stunning coastline for you to experience as Khao Pang Forest Park and Mo Ku Chumphon National Park provide beautiful forests, rivers and incredible mountain vistas.
What transport links are available?
Chumphon has strong transport links, especially with the nation’s capital, Bangkok. By road it’s a lengthy six hour drive but on quick motorway linked roads for the duration of the four hundred and sixty kilometre journey. The two cities are linked by a one hour flight for those who want to cover the distance a bit quicker.
