  • "I don't know if it was cheap, but it was VERY easy. "

    1. Check-in (online) was easy. 2. Finding the port was easy. 3. Getting onboard with car, two people and a large dog was easy. 4. Finding our cabin was easy. (Special note - the shower in there would not be out of place in an expensive hotel!) 5. Finding the kennel area for exercising the dog was easy. 6. Finding food and drink during the trip was easy. The coffee was surprisingly good. 7. Getting back to the car was easy. All in all, the trip is a lot more expensive than flying, However, it's not easy to take a car and 100kg or more of luggage with you on a plane, and our dog would be terrified as soon as the plane set off. So ... not an option. The ferry, however, is a remarkably efficient way of getting everything from A to B. Or, in our case, Athens to Karpathos.
