The town of Douglas is one of the biggest towns on the Isle of Man, and is the main stopping point for all visitors to the island. With the picturesque harbour, filled with the quaint buildings and colourful architecture that makes up the town, as well as the majority of shops and restaurants that are on the island, this town is the perfect place to start exploring the Isle of Man. There are transport links to the rest of the island, including a horse drawn tram that operates along the coast, and the main ferry port is located in the harbour, with easy access to the town’s facilities.
Heysham is a small town on the coast of England, located between Morecambe and Lancaster, and is primarily known for its quaint cottages that are scattered across the town, as well as the famous flower displays that have won awards on multiple occasions. There are many historical sites here for visitors to enjoy, and whilst the ferry to the Isle of Man is the only ferry route to run through here, there is still plenty to find here, with easy access to the rest of the country, and a small ferry terminal located on the doorstep of the main town.
