"Immer eine Reise wert"
Zu meinem jährlichen Aufenthalt in Helsinki gehört immer ein Tagestrip nach Tallin mit einem der schönen Viking Schiffe Gemütlich, sauber, gutes Essen, gute Unterhaltung
"Viking line, Tallinn-Helsinki"
Tallinn terminal easy to navigate, ship on time, took own food so can't comment on catering or staff, not many passengers so some facilities were closed.
"Dirty rooms, dirty ship."
Nice and easy trip but terrible cabins, very small and very dirty. For return trip we have been put in used and uncleanned room. Otherwise everything else was OK.
"Tallinn-Helsinki passage with XPRS"
First time since a long time ago on a ferry so all went very well for me and the passage was so smooth !
"Calm ride and perfectly on time"
It's beautiful ship overall. Perhaps it only lacks some real resting areas, where you could doze of for a couple of hours.
"First Time on Luxury Car ferry of over 8 floors "
Amazing , comfortable , clean , multiple activities, good food and DJ with dancing floors . Everything was just beautiful specially the sun deck
"Day trip to Talinn from Helsinki"
Excellent service, fast, efficient, courteous..Lots of comfortable spaces on the ship..Wifi was a little sketchy, but other than that, excellent way to get to Estonia.
"Excellent experience Helsinki -Taalin"
Very good
"Seating in the Viking"
The Viking unfortunately was a great ferry to get us over to Helsinki but failed in other areas. Food shops were closed so not many breakfast options. People lying across the comfy chairs so not many options to sit on but the empty hard wooden chairs of the closed restaurants. Staff should control this, and you offer sleeping cabins so unacceptable to me. Toilet I used - 2 stalls, one was not working and the other was out of toilet paper.
"It was awful"
You should understand, most people do not want ‘entertainers’ and magic shows for the children and karaoke. As an adult, I would have preferred peace and quiet
"Good trip"
Everything is ok, I can recommend Viking Line !
"Smooth Crossing"
What a pleasure to travel to Estonia on your ferry. It was smooth journey, from the booking to the disembarking! We will certainly use your ferries again.
"Excellent "
Very straightforward with good facilities.
"Fun on the Ferry"
We had a fabulous time on the ferry. We liked it so much that my husband joked that we should go back to Finland and take it again. The facilities were great and the music was fantastic. I highly recommend forgetting the airplane and take the ferry!
"Very Good "
The whole things was seamless, buying the tickets, finding the port, check-in and the journey were all very seamless and surprisingly easy. The boat itself was amazing, with many facilities, though i do recommend trying to get on first to get a seat near the window. Overall, very comfortable and seamless trip, i would definitely do it again.
"Party Bus"
Party bus....
"First Time Travler"
I would suggest you should have a section dedicated to first time travelers. As a first time I got lost how is the seating arrangement, which floor should we go and sit erc. It would had been ideal if I was able to get the necessary I formation from your site or from your email, I think this I initiative will deeply help the first timers.
"Enjoyable "
Easy boarding. Journey was enjoyable. Plenty of eateries to choose from. Prices were reasonable.
"Less inexpensive option"
Using direct ferries price was less expensive than directly on the ferries website !
"Efficient service, shame about the food and lack of directions from staff"
It was easy to find the Viking terminal and the check in process and on-boarding was good. I expect a lot of folk using the ferry are regulars but as new folk we didn't know about the luggage room or that we needed to use it if we wanted to eat in the restaurant. By the time that was open and we were told the luggage room was closed up and no staff were around to help. It also wasn't clear where to go once on board or indeed where to go when we landed, not speaking the language of the announcements. The ferry service was very efficient and the general ambience and cleanliness good. We ate in a restaurant (set menu/buffet). The staff were a bit short with us probably expecting us to know how the restaurant worked but as new customers we didn't. We had to pay before we could enter and see the available food. It was expensive especially seeing as there wasn't much there - maybe things ran out early. I'd certainly expected that we'd have a better choice of vegetables with a carvery.
"Very happy with my experience "
Everything about the trip went well, we had a very nice cabin with sea view, delicious food and very friendly staff
"September"
All very good, smooth organisation, good food on board.
"Check-in does NOT finish 90 minutes before departure"
Direct Ferries gives the wrong info on the voucher. They only start boarding with about half an hour to go. The Viking ferry itself was fine - the same sort of thing you’d get going from the UK to France. The topmost inside deck is the best one as it has the higher ceilings. Don’t go up to the top 2 unless you want to be cold, they’re outdoors!
"Smelly room"
Room 6606 was very smelly. I felt that I was in public bathroom. They gave us a room on the way back which was good. I really like the ship and would recommend it but I would like my money back from one way experience to Tallin. Please help me to get in touch with whoever in charge of this situation
"Tallin helsinki "
Very good
"Helsinki to Tallinn and return with Viking Ferries."
Although we were able to find seats we thought it unusual that there was no dedicated seating area. So we were in the nightclub with childrens entertainment and Bingo on the way out and sat in one of the cafes on the way back. Both legs were late morning on different though similar ferries. Terminal buildings at both ends are modern with good facilities. Paperwork from direct Ferries urges you to get to the terminal 90 minutes beforehand but Viking advised 45 minutes which was plenty. The ships do quite a quick turnaround and foot passengers board about 20 mins before sailing.
"Helsinki to Tallinn"
Good food at reasonable prices. Good entertainment.
"sailing from TAllin to HElsinki"
I have never sailed by such a huge ferry, so it was amazing for me. We were with our kid and I think it was a life long expereience for him too. evrything was fantastic. But I would change two things if I could: your information email contains numerous faleso info. You say: the last check in is 90 minute prior the departure. It is not true! our ferry left at 8: am, we did not know how much time is from our home to the port, so we arrived to the port at about 6:00 am. And nothing happened, so we could let our kid sleep at least one more hour. There is no word mentioned about that when you return you should not check in once more. We were hurrying to get back to the port in time- but later than in the morning, and it was totally unnecessary. There is one more false info: you need a passport. I had almost cancelled the trip because we have no passport only ID. one of them were checked! So please refresh your info letter containing the relevant info.
"All professionally boarded and sailed."
The Viking Line took us from Tallinn to Helsinki, it left on time and arrived on time. The breakfast they provided was ample and the selection was varied.
"Superb service"
Check in was very quick and efficient. The ship left 5 minutes early and arrived on time. Food looked good although a little expensive. Plenty of places to sit and relax on board although the seating is not particularly comfortable. All in all a cheap and effective way to travel.
"Good trip !! "
Viking is the best!! Low price and good crew!
"Great experience!"
We had a couple of great trips with Viking Line between Helsinki and Tallin. Very clean, punctual, and fun area for kids to keep themselves busy.
"Trip Tallinn - Helsinki"
Punctual departure and arrival, comfortable.
"Onto Tallinn"
You never think they’ll be able to board 1,000+ people in 20 minutes (or so) and still be able to depart on time... but they do it!
"Relaxed and straight forward trip"
