About Skopelos Island
Located east of mainland Greece and lying between Skiathos and Alonnissos, the island of Skopelos is the second island in the Northern Sporades chain.
At 21km long by about 8km wide, Skopelos is in the shape of a saxophone, with the "neck" pointing northwest, and the "bell" lying on the east.
Skopelos has an excellent coastline. The south-west side of the island has sandy beaches with calm waters. Mountains dominate the western and eastern parts of the island.
