Manche Iles Express

Manche Iles Express operates ferry crossings between the Channel Islands, in the English Channel, and the Normandy region of France, as well as frequent inter island sailings.

In partnership with Conseil Général de la Manche, Manche Iles Express began operating a ferry service connecting the department of Manche in Normandy and the Channel Islands in 2005. Services are completed aboard their two high speed vessels named Granville, holding up to 245 passengers and Victor Hugo, accommodating 195 with a max speed of 32 knots. Both ships are equipped with airline style seats and snack bars, ideal for the short inter-island journeys, as well as duty-free shops.

Sailings run from the French ports of Granville, Diélette and Carteret, bound for the Channel Islands of Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and Alderney. Given the short journey times, with some lasting as little as 55 minutes, travelling with Manche Iles Express is perfect for day trips to France, or to the Channel Islands themselves.

With directferries.co.uk you can find Manche Iles Express timetables, fares and book Manche Iles Express ferry tickets. Where applicable we’ll also compare Manche Iles Express with alternative ferry companies.

  • "One day at Guernsey "

We had a very nice trip to Guernsey, enjoyed the views on Herm and Sark and we saw gannets at Sea! No delphins

  • "Deilette to Alderney "

Great Boat with an open air top deck to watch the sunset. Friendly staff and great duty free. It’s a shame that the Dielette to Alderney time table isn’t more frequent for us to pop across.

  • "Enjoyable trip"

We booked this trip through direct ferries but was unfortunately given incorrect checkin details. The email instructions told us to check in at Albert Pier but this does not exist. As a result, we were late checking in but staff still accommodated us. The boat left early and had a good crossing. We also arrived back on time. Most of the staff were French so we didn’t really communicate with them but they were pleasant. We had a nice trip to Sark and would use this service again.

  • "Excellent "

Fantastic day trip from Guernsey to Jersy.  Took the ferry over very easy collection of tickets plenty of room on board we had to wait while a Condor ferry unloaded but that was ok maybe 20 minutes or so return trip was great again easy check in and the time we had was enough to have an explore of St Helier a visit to the museum so all in all very good well worth it if your on Guernsey for 4/5 days
