Condor Liberation
Operated by Condor Ferries
Operated by Condor Ferries on the Poole Guernsey & Poole Jersey (St Helier) routes
The Condor Liberation was purchased by Condor Ferries in late 2014 and is the latest member of the fleet to run on their routes between England and the Channel Islands. The first of its kind to sail in Northern Europe, she can hold up to 880 passengers and has space for 245 cars. The Condor Liberation has a more stable design than existing high speed ferries and as a result will be able to sail in considerably higher seas, resulting in less travel disruption. On-board the renovated interior will keep you in comfort throughout your crossing, whilst enjoying all it has to offer with its many facilities.
There are no cabins available on this ship, however there is seating available for everyone onboard with three tiered seating options to choose from.
Onboard the Condor Liberation you can eat the delicious Casquettes self-service restaurant. The menu consists of a range of hot meals, snacks such as sandwiches, baguettes and wraps, hot and cold desserts, soft and alcoholic beverages are also on offer.
The Duty free shop onboard offers passengers a chance to purchase reduced priced goods from men and women’s fragrances to alcohol from around the world.
Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our Condor Liberation guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification and ferry companies reserve the right to operate vessels other than those mentioned at time of booking without prior notification.

"This was not a Direct Ferry - Stops in Guernsey but did not show this during booking "
Not clear that this stopped in Guernsey on directferries website…???
"Up the workers"
Plenty of room…great food….staff were brilliant….thank you
"Good experience. "
Very efficient service and friendly staff.
"Bad Experience "
Bad experience with Direct Ferries
"Trip to Jersey "
Staff and crew on board were great.
"Holiday to Guernsey"
Great service -
"Courteous staff"
We found the staff in the Club cabin courteous and helpful. There was a gentleman manning the lift on our return from Guernsey who was a joy and delight. He was both courteous and caring.
"Good comfortable crossing "
Comfortable crossing
"Return journey"
The trip to Jersey was well managed. Loading was seamless with very good communication amongst your staff. The return journey, was awful. I booked a campervan in. Your staff were not directing the vehicles efficiently. I could not get into my campervan as another car had been parked right upto my drivers door. I’m a 55 yr old female who was traveling alone, I have had a previous cancer so am not fit and well. I had to climb over my dog in the front seat. Your staff on the return journey were not helpful. Kind regards Helen Hembrow
"Condor "
Only operator that runs to Guernsey so no one else to compare it to but good service
"Pleasant trip, but services lacking"
This was our first Confor ferry experience, from Poole to Guernsey, returning same day. Boarding and settling in was perfect. The club lounge seating was comfortable, very spacious, and we enjoyed our views. The service there was immaculate - kind hospitality and prompt attention. The offerings via menu were limited but our attendant got creative and breakfast was delicious. The return tip that evening however wasnt nearly as enjoyable. While the boarding and seating were both fine, the food service was lacking. The attendants were great - kind and prompt, but the ship had no pasta, no soup, no gravy, no chili (neither kind) and one salad. Probably two thirds of the menu items were not available, which made for a disappointing experience. The ship also had no wi-fi, which was pretty important for people trying to check in for flights, etc. All in all the experience was good, but we'd have enjoyed it more with if restocking of food had been a priority, and if wifi could have been available.... otherwise, seamless journey and lovely club class.
"Poole to Guernsey "
Was not aware at the time of booking the journey from Poole would first stop at Jersey however, should have realised this with the journey times. That apart, it was quite a staight forward embarking and disembarking experiance .
"Ferry booking straightforward"
Booking process simple and documentation quickly provided. I did not spot the ability to pre-print boarding cards but not a major issue. Slightly disappointed with the facilities on board for example as a firtst time Condor passenger we did not know what eating options were available. The absence of signage with details of the different meal options andtiming meant we bought sandwiches instead of a meal. The lack of on board distractions also meant crossing was a bit tedious, especially as it went to Guernsey via Jersey.
"Trip to Guernsey"
Everytime a good feeling
"Guernsey "
Condor
"Good trip"
Very smooth crossings to an from Guernsey. We left on time from Poole but a delay of 40 mins from Guernsey so not too bad. We were kept informed all the time
"Good journey"
Good trip outbound from Poole to Guernsey, travelled Club Class which was worth the extra. Coming back a week later the car deck was rammed and it was hard for people to squeeze between the cars to get to their own vehicle, other than that a good crossing.
"Fast ferry"
Very efficient service with comfortable seating and good eateries. Only downside was the very rough sea going over so would warn others to be wary if they got travel sick.
"Perfect cruise"
11-09-22 What a way to finish a holiday, early departure Guernsey, calm seas, sun just going down as we approached Harrys Rocks. Sat outside all the way back as did quite a few people. Nothing to criticise about the trip, staff or food, only two issues, firstly I hold Condor responsible for damage to my Vehicle by the woman in the astra registration MTO5 RVO who not only once dented my near side rear door, but after i approached her, she deliberately damaged the near side front door as well, such that i will be taking this up directly with Condor as they should have reasonable care to make sure people par and can get out of their cars properly, not rocket science, but one ignorant person who cared about her dog more than other people's car, is typical of some people, but not all.one downer, secondly we had to change vehicle reg on way out, paid £65, but when checking in at Poole realised the reg was still wrong, but no one checked on both trips the reg, therefore for anyone else that needs to make a change in future don't bother, take the chance and pay at the gate
"JERSEY TRIP "
The trip to Jersey was comfortable and the facilities on the ferry were adequate for the duration on the trip
"Excellent trip"
Seedless journey to and from Guernsey, organised and stress free, better than flying.
"Ferry crossing"
Generally good facility’s put poor Wi-Fi and charging points
"Ferry trip from Poole to St Peter Port, Guernsey"
It was good in all aspects except the delay in entering the harbour at St Peter Port on 2nd September 2022. The fact that the berth was still occupied was very poor.
"Overall decent trip let down by rude team member"
The ship was clean and tidy. The boarding was chaotic due lack of communication. Upon reaching deck, we asked the staff member where we could find the table seating we had reserved - the staff member ignored our reservation booking paperwork, looked at us like idiots and told us to sit anywhere. It was an hour into our trip that we discovered we did indeed have a table reserved in a far quieter and more comfortable area.
"Two very different experiences "
We travelled on Liberation going to Jersey & Voyager on the return Journey. Going out it was a smooth seamless transition through checkin to loading. We required assistance and the staff were extremely helpful and informative. However, we had to change our departure date unexpectedly so went to the St Helier Port to discuss with Condor. Desk and the whole building unmanned just a note on the desk sorry for any inconvenience! We ended up doing this on line and were charged another £120.00 for the privilege! Their website is misleading as it says £10 for alterations then in tiny print comes the big hit! NOT Impressed at all. On arrival the next morning we were greeted by a very officious young lady who disappeared soon as we pulled up at the kiosk. I explained we needed assistance and she ranted at us for not doing this on line. I told her we didn't see the request for this on the web page. Thats because you booked with Direct Ferries she snapped! Is that a problem I asked? They don't have all the same information as Condor she replied. How am I to know that I asked well next time book with Condor NOT Direct Ferries she said. Am I getting assistance I asked I will have to radio she replied. None of this occurred at Poole I said it was seamless. Thats Poole she said and we don't have a lift anyway on this ship! Eventually we did get assistance but not before we were concerned as my husband is on crutches and cannot climb stairs safely. 2 Very different experiences on 2 very different ships and ports and staff. Liberation a far better experience all round.
"Excellent "
Well organised. Staff very helpful. All hardworking.
"First on last off"
Appalling service. Got to St. Peter Port, Guernsey early to be one of first off at Poole as disabled and wanted to get home to take meds. 3rd in queue but not loaded in order of arrival and ended up one of last off. If I ever use this company again, I will at e with 30 seconds before check-in time ends.
"Impressed - very smooth experience"
This was our first experience of ferry travel and we were very impressed. The check in was quick and easy, and it was very pleasant waiting in your car rather than with lots of other people! Loading and unloading was very well organised on both trips, and the ferry was on time both ways too. Overall, a very smooth experience, thank you.
"Excellent "
Perfect trip, no stress no drama, a very relaxing trip x
"Great trip!"
Comfortable seats with a good view as we travelled. Air con was a bit fierce but would have been very welcome had it been warmer generally in the cabin. Efficient service.
"Better is impossible!"
The ease of boarding (although there could have been a problem due to the condition of the vehicle and the staff worked efficiently to solve it), the conditions of the ship and the friendliness of the crew are very remarkable.
"Check in staff are the problem"
Booked my ferry trip for a move away from the UK, paid the extra for the ability to change or cancel the booking, a week before departure I made a change to the booking to add a roof box to car. Left my UK home with my wife, kids and pets, travelled through the night and arrived first at check in. Was told my roof box was not booked on and I would not be able to travel, despite showing the change confirmed, the girl on check in did not care, told me to park over to the side and said I may have to wait for another ferry, she had no people skills what so ever and would not even listen or look at my booking, continued to say that I she was going to contact the ferry to check if I could board but never made a phone call or spoke on the radio. Left my family and I panicking, thinking we were homeless and needed to book another ferry. I am generally a very calm person but she tested my patience, I was only a few meters away and could hear everything. She had plenty of time constantly check her phone. After a panicking wait until every other vehicle got through, another member of staff in the check in actually helped, it was a small roof box on a small car, the ferry capacity was well below as I was later told just over half was filled. Discussed, should have been a start of a new adventure, yet ruined by some incompetent child who thought the whole ordeal funny. In relation to the below, I had no other issues, on board staff were great, but first person you meet can ruin the whole experience.
"Poor Website"
I cancelled my trip with Condor 3 days before outward travel as I broke my wrist. I have been trying ever since to use my insurance bought through you to get my money back Euro assist Accept they have had the details they need , but not in the order they want them, so at the moment my claim is on hold. this is against the spirit of insurance.I am a 76 year old veteran and have never been treated in such a cavalier way. if thi is Condor's partner how can I recommend you. The fact that you are asking me questions about my trip, when I had cancelledit means that your web site is inadequate
"Frustrated traveller"
Mist frustrating form of travel. The outward journey, we were told to be no later than 8am for 9 am sailing. The queue only starting moving at gone 10 am, no announcements or explanations were given and we finally arrived in Guernsey over 3 hrs late. We choose to use the lounge facility on the outbound journey, paying for the upgrade, but my daughter spent mist of the time out of the lounge as there was no tables to do use for her laptop as she was doing school work. The return journey was a shambles, when we got to the ferry port we were casually told the ferry was no linger going to Portsmouth, but was now going to Poole. It was the late ferry, getting in at 11.30 pm, so I had booked a nights accommodation in Portsmouth so we could drive back to London fresh in the morning. The port worker said the good news was we would get there quicker, but did not mention the ferry was not leaving til 8 pm, not the 7 pm that was expected, so another long frustrating wait in the port. And shock horror we again boarded even later than that, arriving in Poole then having to drive to Portsmouth for the accommodation which was already paid for.
"Awful Experience"
