Well I’m still on the ferry because it’s 2 hours behind schedule!! I was told to leave my cabin at 1pm so that’s stood in corridor with 2 cats and bags for 2 1/2 hours!!😡😡 it was the same when I traveled in September I would rather drive through Eastern Europe than set foot on one of your ferry’s again. People plan long drives around ferry times so now I’m not going to get to the hotel we booked and will have to try and book another ( at our expense of course god forbid anyone else is at fault) I wouldn’t use direct ferry’s because I don’t think they check itinerary once they have taken your money an email to say it was not on time would have saved me a load of hassle and expense!!!😡😡😡

This was the second of three ferry journeys booked using direct ferries whilst on a European road trip with our motor home. The boats are ok and the cabin is quite large. There are no limitless extras that would make your journey better ie free WiFi, bottle of water in your room. The bed linen is clean but the beds are hard and only one very small flat pillow. The food on board is expensive and served like school diners in the self service restaurant we did not use the other Last night we just got on board and slept as we had drive today to Patras for the last of the three journeys Just arrived to be advised that boat will be three hours delayed!!!!!! No apology just a small bottle of water and cake given!!!! What should have been nice evening crossing to Italy will now be another get on and go to bed one!!!!

Good service ,very clean boat and relatively fast! Staff very helpful and polite. Pleasant experience overall.

I have to say that it was reasonably easy to book. Then during the first week of my holiday I kept getting emails asking me to re-confirm my booking because the times of sailing had changed. Having checked, I found out that it was a different part of their route to the one I was booked on. I telephoned to check and of course that ran me up a bill for an international call. From 3 notifications there were no changes whatsoever to my itinerary. But there could have been so, annoyingly, I had to keep making sure... The Minoan site said there were discounts for seniors, neither of us got one and to be honest, it's probably not worth the effort of chasing at this point.

Unorganized at the port. No clear signs/ information where passengers/ cars should go/ do. On the Ferry better. Aggressive staff while parking vehicle .

Having never taken a ferry before, this was a fog experience. Cabin was clean Staff were helpful There were no delays Only down side is that we were made to leave cabin 30 mins before arrival at port. This meant we were standing around with suitcases.

I have been travelling to Crete for more years than I care to remember, and although the fares have steadily increased over the years the quality of service has improved even more. They have also invested in modern ferries, this one took just 7.5 hours, I seem to remember that it used to take 12. The ride despite rough weather was smooth. The quality of the food is good, this time we ate in the A la Carte restaurant as a treat, the food was excellent, very generous portions and a reasonable selection. The cost is not excessive, 2 courses and a bottle of wine was around €35 so not cheap but certainly better value than the food on most cross channel ferries. The only downside to these High Speed Cats is that there is limited access to outside deck space
