"Excellent service"
It was a pleasure to use Blue Star ferries for our 30 minute crossing from Mykonos to Tinos and back during our recent holiday. The tickets were excellent value; I had paid a small premium to book seats, which ensured a relaxed journey. The procedures for embarking and disembarking were very well organized, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The ship, including the lavatories, were spotlessly clean. The ferry timetable was excellent for our travel needs, despite being at the end of the holiday season.I would have no hesitation in recommending Blue Star Ferry services.

"From Mykonos to Syros"
Both trips between Mykonos and Syros were as expected except the return trip which was a bit delayed. A cost-effective experience !
"BAD EXPERIENCE!"
VERY RUDE STUFF…..
"Ferry trip"
The 5-6h ferry travel is totally worth if you get the chance to stay outside at the deck (economic). Sun, fresh air, amazing views (it gets even better during sunset), all you need for a good time.
"Ferry crossing "

"Great ride"
Blue Star were fast and efficient easy to book on line went really smoothly I’d definitely use them again
"Island hopping "
The boat was punctual the staff were friendly and welcoming and the ship was clean. The sea was calm and We we’re at our destination without delay.
"Fabuleux"
Personnel aimable et professionnel, horaires respectés. Nous avons adoré notre première expérience. Merci
"Waiting my money back!"
Don t have opinion on the journey since My travel from Athenes to Mykonos has been cancelled due to the weather. I had to find another hotel in a hurry to stay in Athenes, and pay for two nights obviously which is not cheap!! Furthermore i lost the money for Mykonos hotel of course (230euros) Now, i m waiting Direct Ferries give me the 137euros i paid ! Thank you! In my opinion, you should advertise people that in case of bad weather they would not join the island they had to.
"A disaster this time"
After years of good service from direct ferries and Blue star we came to the port on Mon 5th August to catch our ferry from Syros to Piraeus at 16.00pm. We asked an official at the port and he showed us where to wait. It was very hot and the only places were in the sun. People tried to tell us but " it was all Greek to me" !!! excuse the pun. At 3.55pm, a fast ferry came in and we were told to RUN to catch it as the blue star had been delayed for 4 hours!!! we received no txt on either of our mobiles. `Th captain of the fast ferry then said NO to us and left the port leaving us exhausted and stranded. We had to hang around the port until 20.00pm and it left at 20.30pm. We had ordered a taxi from the hotel to meet us and that was a disaster too as they were therefore not there to meet us and we had to get another taxi and spend three days getting the firm to agree to give us our money back Altogether it would have been proper to have been txt us when the boat was delayed so we could change our tickets like everyone else did. It was a horrendous end to our wonderful holiday. very very upset and dissatisfied.
"Mykonos to Syros with Blue Star Ferries."
Excellent service, collected our pre paid tickets at the quayside kiosk from the very helpful staff.Boarding was effortless as my wife and I had two suit cases Once on board and luggage stowed away in designated room,we thoughily enjoyed the smooth 75 minute sailing.
"Easy way to travel "
All excellent, cannot recommend more highly. Cheap easy way to get around
"Cancellations"
We did not travel on this ferry. We were due to go to Syros from Mykonos but the company text us to say that the ferry would not be running the next day due to bad weather. We checked all the forecasts but could not see any adverse conditions that would cause the cancellation. We could never take a chance as we were flying to Athens from Mykonos and had to be back. So we also lost the accomodation in Syros with our payment. Not impressed at all........!
"Pay for air seats"
We booked the super economy which means you grab a chair in an aisle if you can. So my advice pay for an air seat which guarantees a comfortable seat
"Warning!"
Lovely ship and journey once we had made it onto the correct boat with the correct ticket, which was a very close thing. Be warned that if you book online and print off a piece of paper with all the correct details that DOES NOT allow you to travel. You must still find the Blue Star office, which is not very obvious to see on the wharf at Piraeus, and obtain a different form of ticket before then finding the correct boat, which is NOT located at either E6 or E7. But definitely worth paying the extra for Business Class!
"Efficient"
On time, quick and efficient.
"Nice trip in ferry "
The trip on the ferry was generally very good and relaxing, just a few items that could be improved. Entering and disembarking the ship to potentially a bit too long, and was a bit confusing for passangers without cars, we saw people carrying pushchairs and very large suitcases and dig cages etc up the steep steps . Also for the outdoor areas there could have been some more chairs available, both fixed and loose ones. As people were arguing a bit about getting a seat in the limited sun spots on the deck. But overall a positive experience Kind regards
"Ferry ok and was on time "
The ferry we took from Athens to Mykonos was ok. It was clean, on time, the staff friendly. Nice coffee shop but a bit pricey, good coffee but the food was not that great. Recommendation - in future send us options to print boarding passes before the trip rather than make a que at the ticket centre before the trip.
"Another great year of ferrying"
Thank you all at Direct ferries and Blue Star ferries or another great travel from Piraeus to Syros this July 2018. Easy booking, easy picking up of tickets at the port and boats reliable as usual
"I used Sea Jet and Blue Star Ferries - Amazing Amazing and Amazing!"
Reading reviews on these ferries I was very worried about our experience. But it was in fact a 360 turn for me. It was so good. First of all in Europe you have to worry about your luggage because all companies love to charge for it, left right and centre, it’s ridiculous. But these ferries do not, so if your traveling within Europe or its mostly in Greece that you need this mode of transportation I would highly recommend it. Even if your paying slightly more than a flight and even if it’s longer, choose this options. Flights are too much work verses taking ferries. The only concern is the fact that the arrival for them is always late, 30 to hour wait at one time. But still I would say ferries are the best transportation between islands in Greece. Also these ports for ferries are located much closer the airports to destinations.
"Syros to Piraeus"
Good , punctual service , basic service not overly comfortable but you gets what you pay for and it was cheap
"Greek ferries"
Internet system at the time of booking is easy and efficient. It would be helpful in the case of Piraeus departures to know the name of the vessel and/or the pier number. Piraeus is a huge port and it’s difficult to find your ferry without this information.
"last place to go"
t your boats got us everywhere we had to go on time .
"Staff Review "
Overall ferry Okies. Only the staff not friendly . Especially the staff work in cafeteria. Need to improve
"Blue Star Ferries"
Overall service on the ferry was good and I only have two gripes. I couldn't get onto the ship's wifi (I know: first world problem!) but the staff member I asked just said it wasn't working with no further explanation, no apology. It was the same on the return trip. So not being able to access the on-board entertainment, which i figure I've paid for, did affect my overall rating. Also the storage of luggage on open shelves in the garage section of the ferry isn't secure so I didn't feel comfortable leaving my belongings there. Otherwise, no problems. Oh, if you want to have a seat inside I suggest you book one as it can get very crowded. Overall though: satisfied.
"Enjoyable and pleasant"
My husband and I have recently returned from our holiday in Greece. We travelled from Pireaus to Lipsi and returned to Pireaus the following week. On our journey there, we enjoyed the luxuries of the ship, sampling the cuisine and relaxing in the many lounges available throughout. We made use of the WiFi to keep in touch with family and friends, and we spent time walking the different decks and experiencing the gorgeous views of the Aegean Sea. The crew were friendly, professional and helpful. They were available to answer any questions we had, and were comfortable in speaking English, which was one of our concerns prior to travel. Across from the purser's desk, we noticed a "live" map of Greece and the surrounding Aegean Sea, and we watched the red arrow marking our progress on our journey, much like we find in air travel. The ship's crew were mindful of safety as we boarded and disembarked the ship, and they tended to our comfort with personal requests for medicine to help with sea sickness as the waters were a bit rough at one point. Upon our return, we chose to hire a cabin for the night, and we found the facilities were top notch: clean, roomy, many amenities, full en suite bathroom, soft beds and pillows, desks and chairs, space for our luggage, and plenty of light. We slept in comfort for the evening and woke refreshed and ready for our next adventure. I couldn't be more pleased with our experience. I look forward to enjoying our next holiday to Greece with Blue Star Ferries.
"Great service"
Ship leaves and arrives in time. Extra: my son lost a camera on the boat. Thanks to Blue Star he has got it back! I could pick it up in Pirraeus. Thanks!
"holiday sailing"
The ship was a little Greek style getting on and off ie heck tick but once you got into the ship it was clean and relaxing with plenty of comfortable seating The bar prices were expensive but in all the ship was efficient and a pleasure to be on. Would defiantly use this company again.
"Excellent Crossing"
Blue Star were excellent in all aspects of my journey The website was easy to use. When I collected my ticket at Rhodes the young man was courteous and helpful , especially as I was so tired from a long journey. The toilets were immaculate and cleaned regularly. It was great that I could store my luggage in a secure lock up this helped me relax and saviour the experience. There was a range of food and drinks on board too. Perhaps, a bus from Rhodes airport to the port could be provided? The taxi fare was 26 Euros.I have since discovered that I can do part taxi and bus from Rhodes square at 2 Euros. Also , please mention there are excellent cafes along the commercial port. I hope my return journey from Tilos to Rhodes is equally good. Thank you.
"Trip "
After the always excellent experience of the bluestars one and two and later the super fast ferries, the blues star Paros was a big disappointment. Very , even painfully slow. A trip that takes under three hours from Kos to Patmos with the super fast is instead over 5 long hours with this boat. And there is very little to help pass the journey. Instead of the good restaurants in the rest of the fleet, there is dreadful catering aboard - only self service, (more like non-service) 'areas' and appalling food - cardboard sandwiches, death burgers, uncomfortable seating, prison lighting and grim atmosphere. Truly not up to scratch and made worse by the knowledge that your other boats are so much better. This is back to the days of the Yialissos and the Kamiros! Please improve...
"Very comfortable "
Everything was great! We loved it. Very professional
"Blue Star Ferries are consistently excellent."
We actually travelled 4 times on Blue Star Ferries during our month in Greece (between Rhodes, Karpathos, Kos, Nisyros, Symi) and were very impressed each time. The ships are efficient, punctual, clean, comfortable and make for a very enjoyable experience. And they seem to get their schedules out earlier which always helps when trying to book your trip from abroad in advance. The staff were attentive and helpful. Overall, very pleased. Only downside for us was the price of coffee!
