Gare de Cherbourg (Avenue Jean-François Millet) is connected to the rest of France by the SNCF network.
It takes approximately 40 minutes to walk between the train station and Cherbourg ferry terminal.

The port is a 10 - 15 minute walk from the town centre. The nearest bus stop is on 'Boulevard Maritime' near the cinema.
