Wightlink

Wightlink Ferries, with its predecessors, has been connecting the mainland with the Isle of Wight by ferry for over 160 years!

Wightlink Ferries have taken the service from its early pioneering days of steam travel to its present position sailing between the mainland and the Isle of Wight up to 150 times a day with 3 routes.

A modern fleet of car ferries sail from Lymington to Yarmouth and Portsmouth to Fishbourne while high-speed foot passenger catamarans operated on the Portsmouth Harbour and Ryde Pier crossing.

Wightlink are the main link between the Isle of Wight and the mainland and every year carry over 4.8 million passengers. They provide Island residents with an easy and frequent service to the mainland, as well as giving millions of holidaymakers from all across the UK and beyond a taste of Island life.

  • "Excellent service"

Efficient staff throughout that could answer any query. Boarding was very quick and departed on time for both crossings. Wide range of refreshments on board at reasonable prices. Have sailed this crossing before and will continue to do so. Smaller port than the other two crossings so even in peak season it's busy but a much nicer drive through the Countryside.

  • "Lymington to Yarmouth"

A very enjoyable and effortless return crossing. I left my car behind as too expensive to take across - always cheaper to use a taxi at the other end.
