Shetland Islands

The Shetland Islands are an archipelago of Scotland located north and east of mainland Britain comprising around 16 inhabited islands.
The largest of the islands, known as ‘Mainland’ is the one of largest of the many Scottish isles. Shetland has an oceanic climate, with long but mild winters and short, cool summer.
The islands are home to a variety of sea creatures including whales, otters, seals and puffins as well as museums and galleries which showcase the Shetland’s vibrant arts scene.
