"Pleasant crossing to Ile Rousse"
Enjoyable crossing from Nice to Corsica, the ferry was very clean and well maintained. Please can you put some seating outside on the decks, we had to sit on the metal deck which was very hot on a sunny afternoon! Also, why does the restaurant close as soon as the ferry leaves port? it would have been nice to enjoy a leisurely meal a bit later and while away a couple of hours?

Efficient staff and service getting on and off. We travelled by motorcycle and would do it again. Large variety of services from shop to top notch silver service restaurant. Even a swimming pool to pass the time.

The town's industrial past is dominated by its iron industry and at one point it had many iron-works and foundries, shipbuilding, railway workshops, engineering shops and a brass foundry. There are many things to see in the town and its medieval centre is worth a visit. The Baroque Cathedral di Nostra Signora Assunta managed to survive the destruction by Genoese forces in the 16th century and so too did imposing Fortezza del Priamar. The fortress guards a couple of sculpture museums and the Civico Museo Storico Archeologico, which displays archaeological finds.
