Irish Airspace Disrupted
Date: 17 May 2010 07:49 Source: RTE.ieThe ash cloud from the volcano in Iceland is drifting south triggering more travel disruption with some flight restrictions in place.
Main developments:
• Dublin Airport is closed until at least midday
• Cork and Shannon are operating as normal
• Waterford and Galway airports reopened at 6am
• Sligo and Ireland West (Knock) are due to reopen at 9am
• Donegal airport remains closed until at least midday
All airports in Northern Ireland remain closed until at least 1pm this afternoon. A number of airports in Scotland including Edinburgh and Aberdeen are also closed.
