How to get the cheapest fares with LD Lines!
Date: 10 May 2010 10:00 Source: LD LinesIf you’re planning a trip to France or Belgium with LD Lines via Le Havre, Dieppe, Boulogne or Ostend this year then read our guide on how to get the cheapest fares and you could save £100’s of pounds on your crossing!
• Plan ahead - book early. The best offers and cheapest prices are available several months in advance of departure but with limited availability so they aren’t around for long.
• Try not to alter your booking after paying and check-in on time in order to avoid rising prices and the applicable costs for changes to a booking.
• If possible, choose to travel outside school holidays & obvious busy periods (in the opposite direction of the main flow of departures and returns). Mid-week crossings are generally cheaper and the cheapest prices are often available for early-morning or late-night departures.
• For night crossings, book a Sleeper Seat instead of a cabin. If you wish to book a cabin, be sure to choose an ‘Inside cabin’ as these are cheaper than ‘Outside cabins’.
