Close to the breathtaking island of Antiparos, holidays to Paros also offer ample opportunities for adventure.
If you’re wanting to explore the island fully then renting a quad or a car is the best way to get around the island. Not only does it mean you can explore at your own pace, but you can also discover harder-to-reach areas and hidden coves that might not be accessible by public transport. The island also has good bus connections, connecting Parikia and Naoussa with other beaches and villages on the island. Taxis are also available, although they can be expensive.
Paros port connects Paros with mainland Greece, with regular ferries to Athens. It also connects Paros with other islands in the Cyclades such as Naxos, Santorini and Mykonos. Bear in mind that the port of Paros can get extremely busy in the summer months.
The port of Paros is located in the town of Parikia, the capital of Paros. It's situated on the western side of the Island.
You can easily walk from Parikia to the port. However, public buses are available from other locations across the island including Naoussa. Alternatively, you can get a taxi to the port although these tend to be expensive.
Due to the port’s location just minutes’ from the town centre of Parikia, you’ll find plenty of amenities around the port including vehicle rental services, cafes and restaurants.

Syros port is located in the island’s capital, Ermoupoli. The port connects Syros with both Athens (Piraeus) and many other Greek Islands. The port serves both conventional and high-speed ferries.
You can walk to Syros ferry port from Ermoupoli centre in just a few minutes. There is also a bus station located next to the port which connects the port with other villages on the island. Taxis are also available.
Parking is available near to Syros port, although it can get very busy during the high season.
Amenities at the port include a passenger terminal, ticket offices and vehicle rental services. Due to the port’s central location, you’ll find many more amenities within walking distance including shops, cafes and hotels.
