With most of the city's sights located within the Old Town, the best way to get around Split is by foot. You can also rent cars or scooters for a bit more freedom and to explore further afield. Local buses are also available.
Split port is located in the heart of the city, just a short stroll from the Old Town. The ferry port is used by ferries and catamarans as well as cruise ships and private yachts. It's a busy port serving a range of destinations including islands such as Brač, Hvar, Korčula, Mljet, and Vis, along with other destinations such as Ancona.
Located right in the centre of Split, you can easily walk to the port. However, taxis and buses are available if you’re travelling with luggage. The bus station is located opposite the port. If you're arriving by car, parking is also available near the terminal.
At the port you’ll find ticket offices, tourist information and luggage storage. There are plenty of cafes and shops both in and around the port. As the terminal is just a short stroll from the town, you'll find everything from restaurants to accommodation all within walking distance.

You can reach the port via a local bus. Taxis are also available with a journey time of around 10 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus service connecting the airport with the main bus station which is located right by the ferry port.
