Jadrolinija

Jadrolinija offers ferry crossings from Ancona and Bari in Italy to many ports in Croatia, as well as numerous domestic Croatian services, sailing to Hvar Island, Dubrovnik, Split, Zadar and Stari Grad.

With a hundred year long tradition, having been founded in the early 1900’s after the conglomeration of various companies, Jadrolinija is Croatia’s largest shipping company, transporting over 11 million passengers and 2.8 million vehicles each year.

When you sail with Jadrolinija you can reach many of the island attractions in the Adriatic Sea comfortably and on time. Plus, you'll get an unforgettable experience at sea with views of most beautiful coastal and island landscapes. The fleet currently includes 55 vessels ranging from large cruise ferries, for the long-haul journeys, and smaller, more conventional ships, catamarans and hydrofoils which mainly serve the Croatian coast. The majority of ships contain full-service restaurants, cafes and comfortable cabins, making the longer sailings even more enjoyable.

Directferries.co.uk allows you to compare Jadrolinija timetables and fares with all alternative ferry operators before deciding on the best option for your trip.

Jadrolinija Customer Reviews

  • "Better than expected"

The room was more spacious and the bathroom better than I had been led to expect. Food in restaurant also quite OK, but cash only and the ATM is one of those ones that takes more for itself than it gives to you...

  • "Split to Ancona Ferry was a good idea."

We chose to get a cabin and were surprised at the comfort of the bed and pillow. The cabin - as you would expect - is tiny and spartan, but it worked to get a good night's sleep while traveling. Recommend you bring your own food and drink - the bar tender gladly opened our bottle of wine for us. Even though our departure was later than scheduled our arrival was exactly on time.

  • "Please be aware"

The ferry was great but, people need to be aware that the ticket they buy online is not the ticket that gets them on the ferry. Don’t wait to board and find out at 8:30 you don’t have a ticket only a confirmation to get a ticket. Go early to the ferry and ask for the shuttle to take you to the ticket office. Make sure they are open early. When we went in September they had changed from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm opening the day of your ferry trip. Granted the ferry does not leave until 10 pm it would have saved us a trip over in the morning. Also good to know there is a luggage storage at the pier and they kept our bags till we left, just check there times also. Ferry is clean and had good food for purchase on board. We had a cabin with a sink, but bathrooms are down the hall. Just wish they would post something for people about getting ticket and make mention on the website, that it’s only a confirmation not your ticket

I was very skeptical to take a 11 hr ferry to Italy. But this was just a pleasant surprise. Very comfortable and good facilities. Will choose it always again
