Operated by Eurotunnel on the Folkestone Calais route
The Eurotunnel car train service runs between Folkestone and Calais via the channel tunnel in just 35 minutes. Once onboard passengers stay with their vehicle throughout the channel tunnel crossing in bright, air-conditioned carriages. You can sit back and relax, or get out and stretch your legs.
Pre-boarding at both ends there's plenty to do at the Eurotunnel terminal with a selection of shops, fast food restaurants and bars.
Please Note: Whilst we have taken great care in making our Le Shuttle guide as accurate as possible, onboard facilities, services and entertainment may vary depending on the date and time of year that you travel, facilities mentioned may change without notification.

"Busy period travel"
Out bound train was exactly as it should be. no delays, on our way home it was extremely busy. we arrived at the terminal 2 hours early and they managed to get us on an earlier train than the one we booked which was great. Absolutely no complaints, very efficient service

"No issue with Eurotunnel but Direct Ferries another matter......."
There was an issue with my booking and they said they would refund as long as i had another booking. They were happy to refund but that was Eurotunnel's rules. I made another booking and was told I would get a full refund. A week later, and no refund forthcoming, I called Direct Ferries and told they would refund me minus £35 for admin. It wasn't what was agreed first and confirmed on the second call.

"Folkstone - Calais return with Eurotunnel"
My wife and I have used this service for some years. It is not the cheapest way to cross the channel but it is secure, efficient and very quick. After a long drive, the opportunity to get a bite to eat, a drink and a comfort break at Folkstone is not only welcome, it is conveniently situated. Calais also provide this service but it is not so convenient. On arrival at Folkstone the self booking-in system is quick and easy to use and, when possible also offers alternative departure times. From there all you have to do is follow directions and within minutes you have gone through all the security controls and parked up in the convenient waiting area, and comfort stop, where there are clear signs indicating your boarding time. Once on the train you are in France in 35 minutes.

"On our way"
We had an excellent journey, got to the terminal early and were able to catch an earlier train. The signposting and staff at the terminal are excellent. It is a much better experience than flying, there is no comparison. Very satisfied.

"First Time Travellers "
Heading to Southern Burgundy and thought we would use Eurotunnel for the first time. Easy booking from Direct Ferries made this straightforward. Service itself was extremely efficient and allowed us to catch an earlier train on our return for no extra charge even though we had not booked Flexi Plus. Would thoroughly recommend and definitely use again.

"Excellence"
Overall a quick easy and comfortable experience especially when travelling with a dog. The only problem, both in Calais and Folkestone, was that the direction signage was not completely clear; however our errors were quickly corrected by helpful staff.
