The Stena Britannica is 1 of the 2 largest superferries in the world and sister ship to the Stena Hollandica. Launched in 2010, the Stena Britannica's modern onboard facilities include 2 restaurants, 3 bars, a coffee bar, an onboard shop, an internet room and even a cinema.
There's a range of high quality cabins onboard the Stena Britannica, all with en-suite facilities, towels and shower gel. Each cabin also features high quality mattresses so you'll enjoy a great night's sleep. For reserved seating, upgrade to the Stena Plus Lounge where you'll find a wide choice of seats for you to relax in as well as complimentary hot and cold beverages, a choice of newspapers.
Choose from a variety of places to eat and drink onboard during your crossing and menus to suit all at the Taste restaurant or Metropolitan á la carte restaurant. There's a range of bars too including Riva bar, Taste wine bar, Sundeck bar (weather dependant)and the Barista coffee bar.
There's plenty of bargains to be had in the Stena shop with a range of gifts, jewellery and fragrances - all cheaper than the high street on offer.

The Stena Britannica onboard ferry entertainment aims to keep kids and teenagers entertained with fun activities, while at the same time letting adults relax on their ferry journey. There's a children's area with toys and games and a teenager area with video games.
The Stena Britannica is wheelchair friendly and features specially adapted cabins and lifts to all decks.

"Facilities are fine, information lacking"
There is insufficient information regarding the time of opening the terminus and then the timing through to boarding the ship. There is no information to allow planning of snacks, toilet breaks etc. we waited outside the gates until 6:30 (OK,but it would have been nice to know) and after checking in we moved to another barrier where we waited over an hour until allowed to board the vessel (not acceptable to not know the duration - could not leave the car for fear of blocking the queu behind.). Inside the ferry all was fine. There was then no information regarding the time that the wake up call would be given. At 5:30 am (one hour before disembarkation) the wake up call came. We visited the cafeteria for a quick coffee and a bun, but were then called to the car deck 4 just a few minutes after the call saying last breakfasts were being served, only to carry the coffee down the stairs to the car, where we waited another hour before leaving the vessel. It is apparent that there is insufficient information given here to enable planning for embarkation and disembarkation by passengers. Finally the plan of the ship was A5 size and the text was illegible. The plans are in A4 and those useful on the Gothenburg Kiel leg. All in all the Harwich / Hook of Holland service is considerably poor versus the Gothenburg-skirl service
"Very comfortable"
Convenient, easy and very comfortable
"Super trip"
What a superb experience. Will travel with Stena again soon. l
"Hook ..............................................................................................."
The Taste resteraunt is very school dinners and expensive at that, on my trip the Barrista Bar staff were gloomy and very often absent. Couls do with a newsagent type stall.
"Professional and comfortable service"
Staff very professional and facilities comfortable. I took a night ferry, the weather was windy so we arrived an hour late. This wasnt a,problem but having woken early for breakfast i was peeved to find the restaurant wasnt open for an hour due to the late arrival. I might have missed an announcement but the notice on the restaurant hadnt been changed to inform passengers.
"Relaxing Travel"
The crossing Harwich / Hook of Holland was perfect both ways clean and comfortable cabin. Smooth and efficient loading and departure.Staff helpful and polite.
"Pet travel"
This is the first time I have travelled by ferry in about 40 years! We travelled from Turkey to Amsterdam by plane. Stayed 2 days to visit the beautiful city. Took the ferry from Hook of Holland to Harwich as a way of getting our dogs back to Uk. Had a pet friendly cabin and was walk on passengers. Was a very easy, stress free experience. Would definitely do it again and would recommend to others too.
"Experience on travelling with Stena Line Ferries"
Needs urgent updating/upgrading. Going out and coming back the Duty Free Shop was very under stocked. Normal seating very uncomfortable.
"Travel"
Unfortunatly my car broked so i could not leave from Harwich. And lost the Ferry trip...
"Effortless and friendl"
Trip both ways was relaxing, really good cabin meant a very sound sleep. All staff completely courteous and pleasant.
"Not providing full information in websites "
I have plans to travel from Holland to France in ferry I have found the good deal and booked both my ferry! When I checked with their rolls they didn’t tell me my wife can’t enter UK because of brexit when we we went for boarding they didn’t allow my wife for board in! We missed the ferry and travel to France and disappointed holiday
"Most enjoyable."
From booking to disembarking, was a breeeze. The staff were helpful, professional and friendly The ship has entertainment everywhere from big screen Tvs to an actual cinema room
"Stena Line provides excellent service"
I have travelled 9 times with Stena Line this year: Harwich-Hook of Holland 2 round trips; Fishguard to Rosslare 1 round trip and 1 trip from Bilbao to Portsmouth. Each trip has been impecable

"Hook of Holland trip home"
First time travelling on this route with motorhome. Very easy, great service from checking in to desembarking. Cannot really comment on quality of carering for us, however everyone using the service seemed happy. Tea/coffee was great but not cheap.
"Excellent "
The best ferry crossing I've ever been on
"Rather Good"
Stena and the Hollandica and Britannica made the 7 hour crossing much less of a chore than I was expecting. Always somewhere to sit, the food was of good quality and reasonable price given the captive audience and embarking and disembarking were a breeze, well done Stena... I will be back!
"Hoek van Holland crossing "
Excellent service
"Best Ferry!"
we had a pleasant trip
"Ferry great, beds not!"
The crossing was great, very smooth Only negatives our cabin was not clean, the bathroom wasn't clean, pubic hair all over the shower! The mattresses where okish, but the pillows... oh jaysus, was like sleeping on concrete blocks! Overall the ferry was good except the cabin, which we paid a lot for!
"Great ship but hands off approach to check in at the Hook of Holland "
Excellent ship, marred only by being 30 minutes late and very poorly handled queuing prior to check in. No Stena staff managing the 4 lane car queue with one check in gate open and no clear instructions

"Very good "
Pleasant and relaxing experience, almost a micro cruise.
"Hoek Van Holland to Harwich "
Booked with ease a couple of days before travelling home, directferries had the booking with Free Wi-Fi ? No voucher num supplied This was the second booking I’ve used and there is No Wi-Fi
"Pleasant experience "
What I enjoy the most about the trip was the 2 berth standard cabin, it was very spacious, clean with 2 beds and private bathroom/shower. The ferry was also punctual, border control was fast and efficient. The few minus points: - Main course served on board was bland, accept for the cakes. We prepare food ourselves on the return trip. - It is a small ferry so you might be a bit sea sick
"Very bad service "
They had engine problems and said it would be 45 minutes to fix took 2 hours with only one announcement Then late into port another hour 3 1/2 hours late missed last train with no help as no one there had to sleep on a bench and get 1 st train in the morning Not happy at all leaving complaints on there Webb site
"Efficient"
I'm diabetic and needed to get something in the middle of the night, but the help desk was empty. Luckily for me and another diabetic who had the same problem there were some packs of sugar for drinks, but no drinks! I had to eat white sugar. There should always be someone on the help desk.
"Perfect"
Everything perfectly
"European Road Trip "
Our trip started and finished by sailing on the Stena ferry, Harwich to Hook of Holland and back. The Stena experience was excellent and a lot cheaper than our other options. We will definitely be travelling that route again.
"Thank you"

All round excellent trip but the quality of the breakfast was not there this time , taste wise, bit disappointing but can live with it.
