Santander Portsmouth Ferry reviews

  • "GREAT WAY TO RETURN HOME"

Having spent the summer travelling through France and Spain this was a pleasant way to travel home and relax without being "behind the wheel". The crossing was calm and the cabin was more than adequate. Food and drinks on board were not extortionate. We sailed and arrived on time and were off the boat in a matter of minutes. I would consider using this route again although a port in North West Spain would be a bonus rather than 2 in the North east.

  • "Pleasant cruise home to UK"

We had a pleasant trip on the overnight from Santander to Portsmouth. Beds comfortable, cabin clean. Breakfast in the cafe was a bit disappointing but lunch and dinner in the restaurant were good, if a bit pricey. We were lucky the weather was calm. However there is little to do on this ship so bring your own entertainment.

  • "Welcome aboard"

Overall this ferry is very high standards. Especially the restaurant which serves amazingly good food for something being prepared in a galley! I have used the ferry 5 times but this time didn't book early enough and ended up with a basic inside cabin. Would recommend booking early and trying for a higher standard and outside cabin. The trip can be quite tedious as its 24 hrs on a boat but the crew are very friendly and helpful.

  • "Pont Aven"

Would highly recommend using Brittany Ferries on the Santander to Portsmouth route. Although we departed later than scheduled due to a medical emergency on the inbound route, Brittany Ferries had already notified us of the delay before we got to Santander ...... and we made up the lost time overnight so arrived back in Portsmouth on schedule. The ship is absolutely immaculate and our inside cabin was clean and functional (even with bunk beds!).
