Cheap ferries to Isle of Wight with directferries.co.uk

About Isle of Wight

The largest Island of England, the Isle of Wight is located about 3 miles off the mainland, separated from Hampshire by the strait of the Solent.

Considering the Isle of Wight is only one hundred and forty seven square miles in size, it is surprising that there is so much to see and do all year round. From internationally recognised music festivals such as Bestival and of course the Isle of Wight Festival and sporting events such as Cowes Week where the best of the yachting world descend to the island for 7 days of racing, there really is something for everyone, and it's only a short journey across the Solent.

There are so many ferry services and a range of routes on offer connecting millions of visitors from all around Britain and beyond with life on the Isle of Wight.

Ferry services are provided by Red Funnel, the original Isle of Wight ferry company with a history spanning hundreds of years, who operate a modern fleet of passenger and vehicle ferries, Wightlink, the main link between the mainland and the Isle of Wight with three routes making about fifty thousand crossings a year, and then there's Hovertravel who cross the Solent from Southsea and provide the world's longest running and only commercial hovercraft service in Europe.
