How To Get To Le Havre Ferry Port

  • Le Havre Ferry Port by Car

    Le Havre is linked to the rest of France by the Normandy Bridge and is about 200km from Paris. Take the A29 or A13 motorways and then A131. Follow the signs to the LD Lines Car Ferry terminal 'Citadelle', which is close to the town centre.

    Le Havre Gare SNCF is 1 mile west of the Hôtel de Ville, on cours de la République, right alongside the Gare Routière across boulevard de Strasbourg. Shuttle buses from the Gare SNCF run to the ferry terminal. For more information, please visit the SNCF website.

    The town centre is a 10 minute journey from the ferry port. Buses marked 'Centre Ville' meet the ferries to take you into town.

Le Havre ferry port is made by a series of canal-like docks which connect Le Havre to the Seine. There are daily cross channel services to Portsmouth, provided by the main ferry companies. The A13 connects Le Havre to Paris in only 2 hours by car. Visit the excellent collection of paintings of the Musée des Beaux Arts André Malraux and discover the hanging gardens of Le Havre! If you take the D940 you'll also be able to see the amazing Etretat cliffs which are unique and one of the most famous attractions of the Normandy coast.
