"Instant decision "
I was booked to travel on the morning flight to Southampton, Sunday 22/9. Unfortunately the plane was cancelled and I had to rebook very quickly on the afternoon ferry. The ferry was pretty full, but a place was found for me. It was a good trip and the ferry arrived on time.

"Wonderful journey from the Channel Islands to England "
Everything went well, and we were extremely pleased. We especially liked the fact that the usual with other ship companies Search omitted due to the allocation of seats for good seating. The quality of the food we can not judge, because we have not done so.

Forming one of the Channel Islands in the English Channel, the island of Guernsey is a possession of the British Crown and lies around 50 km to the west of the Normandy coast in France and 120 km to the south of Weymouth, on the south coast of England. The island has a milder climate than much of the UK which is why the island's inhabitants seem to make the most of the outdoors. There are beautiful beaches to visit, cliff paths to trek along and some island hopping to be had. During the summer months, a spot of 'al fresco' dining may even be possible. Guernsey's capital, St Peter Port, is characterised by its pretty cobbled streets and beautiful marina.
There are many things for visitors to see and do on the island. The island's spectacular coastline and countryside provide the backdrop to pursue a wide range of outdoor activities including coasteering, climbing, cycling, diving, kayaking, surfing, windsurfing and sailing.
The island's port is also in St Peter Port and is only a 10 minute walk to the city centre. The ferry terminal provides services to other Channel Islands, France and the UK mainland. The terminal building has many shops and restaurants.
The medieval port town of Poole is located in the south coast of England an the county of Dorset. The town lies on the English Channel coast and is full of tourist attractions and activities, such as its famous pottery and Poole Park. Other popular sights in and around the town include Poole Harbour and the Sandbanks Peninsular which provide excellent facilities for boating and water sports in general. In this area there are also some well respected restaurants and cafes, a number of historic 18th century buildings and some lovely waterside hotels.
Dorset's beaches are some of the best in the United Kingdom and are sometimes called the 'Florida Keys of British beaches'. Poole itself has over 5 km of beaches which are popular with both locals and tourists. The most vibrant part of the town is Poole Quay where there are many restaurants and bars to enjoy. Festivals and events in the town include the Poole Summer Breeze, the largest beach party, held every Thursday night in the summer, with live music, a fun zone for families, barbecue areas and a spectacular firework display.
