  • "Efficace"

Très efficace, rien a dire si ce n’est une très forte pollution fumée bateau sur le pont et une insupportable odeur de fuel dans la cale (10 dernières minutes avant l’ouverture).

Athens (Lavrio) Guide

The Greek town of Lavrio, or Laurium as it is sometimes called, is in the Attica region in the south east of the country. The town is situated around 60 km to the south east of Athens, the capital of Greece, and to the north of Cape Sounio. With a long history in mining for silver, the town was at one time a major source of income for the State. The town's seaport is a suburb of Athens but is of lesser importance than the port of Piraeus. The town's residential area is laid out in a grid system with port at the town's heart. It is now connected to the new Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport and the Attiki Odos highway. The nearest towns are Sounion and Keratea.

The port of Lavrio is home to many passenger ferry services, yachts, commercial boats and fishing vessels. because of its location, ferries departing the port have a shorter crossing time to the islands in the Cyclades and the eastern Aegean islands which makes it more convenient than other nearby ports. From Lavrio a ferry can be taken to Kea (Tzia), Kythnos, Syros, Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Ios, Sikinos, Folegandros, Kimolos, Milos, Amorgos, Kythnos, Tinos and Andros.

Kea Guide

The Greek island of Kea is one of the Cyclades group of islands although it is interesting in that the architecture of its buildings or its landscape has little similarities to the other islands of the Cyclades. The island is also called Tzia, and lies to the south of Attica and is opposite the town of Lavrion on the Greek mainland. Due to Kea's proximity to Athens it is popular with many Athenians who visit the island for weekend breaks. The island's port is in the pretty little town of Korissia which is also one of the island's most popular visitor attractions. The town is characterised with its white washed houses, complete with colourful roofs, its enamel factory, its winding cobbled streets and lovely churches.

The island is also popular with scuba divers who love the island's crystal clear waters and rich marine life and amazing wall dives. A popular dive site is to the wreck of the steamship Patris which sank in 1868. Also located around 1.5 miles offshore is the HMS Britannic, the sister ship of HMS Titanic, and is popular with Tec Divers as the wreck lies at a depth of around 120 meters.
