Sea Las Perlas navigates the Gulf of Panama in Central America, linking the Pearl Islands of San Miguel, Contadora and Viveros with the capital, Panama City.
Based in the Amador area of Panama City, Sea Las Perlas embarks from the Balbao Yacht Club on the causeway, just southwest of the bustling city centre. They operate a large catamaran for each crossing, which usually last around ninety minutes to two hours from the capital.
The ferry has been designed with expansive outdoor decking with long bench seats, maximising space and comfort, especially for passengers with children. There are good toilet facilities and you can enjoy various refreshments like water, soft drinks and snacks on board as well.

"Horrendous and unacceptable "
Las Perlas themselves - excellent!! They came through for us when Direct Ferries epically let us down when they confirmed our return booking with us but actually not making it with Las Perlas. The resolution of this blunder fell on us completely whilst we spent our last day of our trip stressing and endlessly on hold with Direct Ferries’s customer services. This review is not about the blunder (mistakes happen) it’s about the poorest resolution in history. 3 months on... 10 emails, over 60’ waiting times on the phone and still no refund. The time alone spent on pulling teeth with the customer services department doesn’t even amount to the refund any more. Appalling for the lack of a worse word to describe this experience with DIRECT FERRIES.
