For DFDS Seaways and Stena Line: from the E6/E18, coming from Mosseveien or the north: follow the E6 towards “Oslo/Oslo Sentrum” until you see a road sign with a ferry symbol and the names “København” and “Frederikshavn”. Continue in this direction until you reach a large roundabout above the E6. Keep left at the roundabout and continue to follow the signs to the ferries.
For Color Line: if you are approaching from the south on the E18, follow this road past Sjølyst and the small boat harbour on your right. Follow the signs for Hjortneskaien, Kiel/Hirtshals. If you are approaching from the north on the E6 follow this road through the city centre to Festningstunell, and from here follow the signs for Drammen on the E18. When you get to Oslotunnell, follow the signs for Hjortnes/Ferry to the port.

Oslo central station is the main train station in Oslo. From here there are connections to far away destinations Trondheim, Bergen, Stavanger, Stockholm (Sweden), Gothenburg (Sweden) and Copenhagen (Denmark), as well as several local and regional destinations in southern Norway and Sweden. You can walk to the port from the train station. This takes approx. 15-20 minutes.

Bus no. 60 takes you between the port and the central station/Oslo S. the bus departs approx. every 20 minutes and the journey takes about 5 minutes.
