The Dunkerque Seaways ferry provides you with a fast and efficient trip across the channel and a wide range of facilities allowing you to relax and enjoy your time onboard. Dunkerque Seaways was designed with separate decks for tourist and freight vehicles which greatly reduces the boarding and dis-embarkation times for passengers.

"Dunkirk as good as Calais!"

Booked to travel with Sea France in November but they were on strike so i got transferred to DFDS going to Dunkirk when i arrived at check in. Was a bit upset as i hadn't been there before and had paid to go to Calais. Once onboard though i realised it was probably a better crossing then i would have gone on with Sea France as it was a more modern bigger ship and immediately wondered why i hadn't tried it before. Old age i suppose. Crossing was a bit longer than to Calais at nearly 2 hours but apart from that worth using again and lucky for me i got moved to Dunkirk coming home too!

We caught this ferry several times in the last few years. It is usually nice and clean and perfectly adequate for the 2 hour crossing between Dover & Dunkirk (I can remember only one occassion out of roughly 20 crossings when most of the toilets were broken). The cafes and restaurants are overpriced but I assume that's normal as there is no competition. I would definitely recommend it.

Onboard Cabins / Reserved Seating

There are no cabins onboard however seating is provided in the First class lounges. First class lounge access also includes complimentary hot and cold drinks as well as priority loading and disembarkation (cars only).

Please note the First Class lounge is not accessible to children under the age of 8 years old.

Onboard Food and Drink

Onboard the Dunkerque Seaways you’ll find a family friendly self-service restaurant serving good wholesome food at affordable prices, or alternatively there’s the Bistro where you can dine in comfort in a fully licensed seating area with full table service and a first rate menu. Fast Food is on offer at Food Express.

The Lounge bar is a stylish environment and the perfect place to relax and catch up on the latest news and sports via the onboard wide TV screens. The Lounge bar serves refreshing hot and cold drinks, light snacks, wines and spirits. Costa Coffee is now also served within this area. Alternatively, if you’re looking for an ambient atmosphere on board then visit the Bistro Bar on deck 7.

Onboard Shopping

If you enjoy retail therapy then you will find a great deal to please you on board in the retail shop. The Dunkerque Seaways offers great savings on the latest fragrances, cosmetics and skincare and a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits.

Newspapers, magazines and those easily forgotten items such as maps and toiletries can also be purchased from the onboard shop as well as a range of travel essentials and equipment required to drive legally in the UK and on the continent are also available.

Additional Onboard Facilities

There’s an information desk which is manned throughout your journey (situated on deck 6), a bureau de change and an ATM.

Travelling with children

Onboard you’ll find the 'Little Nippers' play area which is designed for toddlers to explore and be safe at the same time.

Accessibility

The Dunkerque Seaways is equipped to carry disabled passengers however it is advised to inform us at the time of making a booking so that the we can ensure that your car can be situated nearer to the lifts on the car deck.
