Hirtshals Guide

Hirtshals is a town in the North Jutland County on the north coast of the island of Vendsyssel-Thy at the top of the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark.
Hirtshals is the busy centre of commerce, fishing and ferries for the entire Vendsyssel region, and the town is proud of it.
Hirtshals is one of the most important fishing ports in Denmark, and there´s always plenty going on in the harbour area. There´s a unique atmosphere at "Monument og Trappe" and "Den Grønne Plads", which connects the port with the town - right in the centre with direct access to the pedestrian precinct.
Hirtshals has a lively shopping centre, including 60 special shops, 9 supermarkets and grocer´s shops.
There is plenty of entertainment and music on offer for children and adults alike. And don´t miss the culinary delights of the 20 restaurants, cafés and bars to be found in the town.

    The port is located 15-20 minutes from Hirtshals city centre. Follow E39 towards Hirtshals. Once in the city, follow signs for the port.
