Superfast VIII is one of the largest and most luxurious ferries in the Stena Line fleet and promises a high level of quality, comfort and service. The Superfast VII provides the best ferry experience on the Irish Sea with numerous facilities including a Nordic Spa, the ‘POD Lounge’, a chill out Living Room, ‘Taste’ dining area, free Wi-Fi, free movies, Curious George for the kids and the exclusive Stena Plus Lounge.
Due to the short crossing, cabin accommodation is not available on the Superfast VIII however reserved seating is available in the Stena Plus Lounge. Stena Plus offers a range of comfortable leather seating including sofas and sofa chairs on two levels, so you can find the area which is just right for you.
In addition to seating, passengers who travel in the luxurious Stena Plus lounge can enjoy waiter service and choose from a premium menu which includes a range of speciality seafood dishes and old favourites. So you can simply relax in your seats and order meals at your leisure.
The all new quick food experience ‘TASTE’ serves a great selection of fresh and tasty meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There’s something to suit all tastes and complimentary refills on tea and coffee while in the Barista Coffee House and Bar you can savour a range of Italian Coffee or a tempting snack.
The Superfast VIII shop offers a range of gifts, jewellery and fragrances with prices on average 40% cheaper than the UK high street.
Chill out in the onboard ‘Living Room’ and enjoy complimentary magazines and all the latest news on 70” plasma TV screens.
Visit the ‘Pure Nordic Spa’ for a dip in the Jacuzzi or sauna to ensure you arrive rejuvenated and revived (only available to Stena Plus customers).
In the new concept POD lounge you’ll find an interactive zone with all the latest in technology including iPads, Xboxes and surf stations and a futuristic living digital display on the floor. There is also free Wi-Fi in the lounge and throughout the vessel.
If that isn’t enough to keep you occupied during your trip then sit back, relax and enjoy one of the free movies in the onboard cinema!
The Stena Superfast VIII features a Curious George™ themed play area with soft play corner providing a safe and fun environment for children. In addition to the soft play area, there is a children’s cinema and an interactive zone with touch screen technology meaning there's lots to keep young ones occupied. And for parents peace of mind there is a seating area close by to relax and keep an eye on the little ones!

"Efficient and comfortable"
I found the whole process of travelling on this ferry very easy and efficient, from booking in to driving off. The reserved seating area and the seat itself were comfortable and I would not hesitate to use this ferry again.

"Unexpected trip "
We always travel on Stena Line & we have never been disappointed. The staff are all very courteous & extremely helpful making you feel your important to them. We always book the Stena Lounge which gives us being disabled a guaranteed seat. We enjoy the peace & quiet in it & don't have to queue for food as it is table service. The other advantages are a toilet in the lounge & as the staff get to know you remember your name which is lovely.

I was travelling to meet my husband who works in Belfast. I was a foot passenger. It was an amazing experience. It was like clock work.. everything was totally on time. I sat at the window with a glass of wine. Will do it again very soon

"Stena Line Cairnryan/Belfast"
Hassle free sailing from Cairnryan to Belfast and return. Easy booking on board process, embarked and sailed on time, very smooth and pleasant sailing and very comfortable facilities on board. Children enjoyed the on board play area in particular.

"Cairnryan to Belfast August 2016"
Easy driving on and off and the weather was calm enough to sit on deck. We treated ourselves to a massage in the spa on the way back. The ferry was on time both ways. It all worked without any hassle - fast ship and quick crossing.

Enjoyed the relaxing ambience of the Plus lounge along with the plentiful supply of drinks and snacks - a bit like being on a cruise. This was a far more relaxed and comfortable way to travel than flying. Good smooth crossings.

First time taking the car to Scotland from Belfast. Will continue this in the future. Straight forward embarking and disembarking onto ferry. Staff helpful and friendly and really enjoyed the live music on return journey.

Impressed by the free on-board facilities to help keep children amused i.e. cinema, soft play. One thing I'd encourage Stena Line to be more stringent with is lorry drivers (and other drivers) starting their engines to soon before disembarking as it was horrible walking aside those carrying small children to get to our car.

"Good journey "
Booked cabin going over and was pleasantly surprised how nice and comfortable it was. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although delayed coming home by a coach arriving late the journey was good.
