  • "Very Good "

I recently travelled on a return trip to Ireland via the Cairnryan/Larne ferry. I was very impressed with how very user-friendly the Direct Ferries website was: easy to understand, easy to navigate, easy to book. Both crossings went smoothly too - very largely on time. Both ships were clean, comfortable and safe. Crews were friendly, helpful and polite. Overall I was very happy with the crossings.

  • "Didn't Know What a Freightliner Was. "

On the way over we were changed to a freightliner and it was not a pleasant trip. On the way back on a proper passenger ferry it was an excellent trip despite really choppy seas. I would use P&O again.

  • "Allergies etc"

Enjoyed the experience, punctuality, cleanliness etc. Except for one thing........A member of my group is celiac and found practically no gluten free provision in your restaurant. This is something which really must be addressed. Thank you, Eleanor

  • "Smooth Sailing! "

We travelled to Scotland return with a car from N.Ireland. When we went to book direct ferries were £80 cheaper than booking direct with P&O. All sailings were on time. I had to change my booking on the way home to a later time, there was no hassle. I have recommended direct ferries to my other friends.

  • "P & O Irish Sea"

The ferry to Larne, was on time, we had a good crossing, it was a little choppy, as it was very windy outside, the ferry was clean and tidy, the crew were kind and friendly and polite. On the return journey the following week, it was the same as before, on time, good crossing, not windy this time. The ferry was clean and tidy, the crew were polite, friendly and kind.

  • "Well recommended"

recently crossed from Cairnryan to Larne return. Very easy. No hassle, clean boat. No nonsense. Staff friendly and helpful. Wifi was a bit dear at three pounds for just ninety minutes. Apart from that, I would Defoe use P and O again.

  • "Highland Fling"

For a few days in Scotland the convenience of Larne to Cairnryan is much underrated. We found it much easier to to access Larne than Belfast ( inspite of the roadworks upgrading the route to the port). We travelled on the Highlander on the way out and her sister ship on return. The harbour staff were very helpful and efficient. The Ships crews on both journeys were polite, friendly and helpful. Access to and from the car deck could not have been easier. The public areas were very clean and in reasonable repair. Both journeys proved to be relaxing and enjoyable with a cosy atmosphere by comparison to the much larger vessels sailing out of Belfast.
