  • "Good journey"

Efficient, timely, clean, comfortable. Nice meal in the Brasserie but the staff need to be more attentive to the customers needs than chatting amongst themselves in the kitchen. Good prices in the shop.

  • "Dover to Calais return"

Turned up. No queues either journey and put on the next ferry (semi flexi fare). Given up on Euro tunnel after numerous delays and a more relaxing journey albeit about 45 minutes longer.

Backpacker with no money for Eurostar - being a foot passenger works excellently well, you're taken through passport check and across the harbor efficiently, the staff is helpful and kind.

  • "Efficient start and end to a holiday"

I've not been on a ferry for a long time, so pleasantly reminded, it was an easy efficient, process. It's not the height of luxury, but was a comfortable, easy trip Dover to Calais and back again two weeks later . We'll have to do it more often.

  • "Great journey"

Sailed through check-in early on a bank holiday Monday - expected queues non-existent- allocated an earlier ferry. Fantastic leisurely breakfast served in the Brassierie - stroll around the shop then Calais appeared and time to get back to the car. Couldn't be better.

  • "Dover to Calais (to the train station)"

The trip went marvelously. I'm backpacking about Europe (though my pack has wheels) and I suggest you get a taxi to the terminal in Dover. It's huge, and complex and the taxi driver knew exactly where to go. Don't be late. In Calais terminal the bus left just before we arrived, and it was going to be like another hour for the next one! There is a sign saying that it's like a 3o minute walk to Calais, so I decided to walk. This was a very big mistake. It's a very very long way and a complex way to find. And the train station was beyond the town center. Lucky I had google maps. Completely nuts. Wait for the next bus, or somehow get a taxi! I should have asked someone in the terminal I guess.

  • "Good, except for..."

Although in most categories, I would rate the P&O Dover-Calais crossing as very good, I strongly object to being subjected to the ship's wi-fi. Contrary to popular opinion, everyone does NOT want 'free wi-fi'. There are many people who cannot tolerate being exposed to wi-fi for prolonged periods. Why can P&O not have sections of the public areas where there is no wi-fi, in a similar way to smoking and no-smoking areas?
