Marseille Ferry

Marseille is France’s second-most populated and prominent city after Paris (of course), and it has a long and interesting history. There are something like 1.25 million people living in Marseille, a number made up by many diverse cultures from all around the Mediterranean and West Africa. Marseille ferry port offers scheduled services to Corsica, Sardinia, Algeria and Tunisia. This traditional service, which has a long history, continues to grow. The Port of Marseille Authority continues to update its facilities to improve the service it offers to passengers. Marseille Ferry port terminal 2 - situated in Place de la Joliette and dedicated to traffic with Corsica and Sardinia, handles more than 700,000 passengers per year, while terminal 3 Situated at the end of Boulevard des Dames is dedicated to traffic with North Africa (Algeria and Tunisia), and handles up to 620,000 passengers per year. The terminal is practically designed and is suited to the needs of North African passengers; it is the subject of ongoing improvements by the PMA, with the introduction of bilingual signage (French and Arabic), a multi-faith place of worship, a public scribe, toys for children, etc.
