The return trip from Zadar with Jadrolinjia was excellent. The ferry was clean and on time, on both departure and arrival in Ancona. The only flaw is that from the old to the new port just outside Zadar there are no directions; it's not very convenient for foot passengers.

Everything went very well, clean ship, clean toilets, kind crew, the ship was not too full. The only bad thing was the freezing air conditioner, perhaps 18° was too much. Good punctuality.

The city's port is popular with passenger traffic and is one of the main ports on the Adriatic Sea. There are many things to see and do in the city. The city's cathedral, Ancona Cathedral, is dedicated to Judas Cyriacus and was consecrated dating the 11th century and completed in 1189. The cathedral is characterised by its dodecagonal dome over the centre, which was altered by Margaritone d'Arezzo in 1270. The cathedral's exterior has a Gothic portal which is ascribed to Giorgio da Como (1228).
The city's port is popular for passengers travelling to countries surrounding the Adriatic Basin including Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Albania and Montenegro. The city is especially well known for its large number of churches with the oldest dating back to the 9th century and collectively form the most historic landmarks that remain in the city, with the most impressive being St. Chrysogonus Church, the Church of St. Simeon and the Church of St. Mary.
